Tax software, not tax advice
VTR Tax is calculation and reporting software for supported UK tax residents. It is not an accountant, tax adviser, lawyer, return preparer, filing agent, or representative before HMRC. No use of VTR creates a professional-client or fiduciary relationship.
Results depend on complete exchange history and accurate facts about ownership, transfers, residence, income, elections, and activity outside connected venues. A technically correct calculation from incomplete facts is still wrong. Rules and guidance can change, and reasonable professionals may differ on characterisation. Review every report and seek qualified advice where appropriate before filing.
UK scope
A country label does not guarantee coverage of every taxpayer, entity, state, election, asset, derivative, or transaction type. Product screens and report notes identify supported scope and unresolved items. Do not treat a missing item as non-taxable or a zero as proof that no tax is due.
No investment advice
Trader-performance views, historical comparisons, charts, and calculated indicators describe connected account activity. They do not consider your objectives, finances, knowledge, experience, or risk tolerance and are not a recommendation, rating, offer, solicitation, or advice to buy, sell, hold, exercise, or hedge any asset.
Outputs describe imported history and calculated results; they do not determine whether any transaction is suitable for you. Do not use a performance metric or historical comparison as the sole basis for an investment decision.
Data and calculation risk
- Calculations depend on assumptions, versions, source coverage, and exchange conventions.
- Exchange data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, corrected, or unavailable.
- Historical views can contain selection and hindsight bias.
- Past performance and calculated outputs do not predict future results.
Risk of loss
Cryptoassets and derivatives are volatile and may be illiquid. Leverage can magnify losses; options can expire worthless; some positions can lose more than the amount initially paid. Markets, venues, custody arrangements, and regulation can fail or change rapidly. You may lose all money committed and, for some derivatives positions, more than the amount initially paid. Make your own decisions and use an appropriately authorised adviser if you need personalised advice.
