02 — Why you can trust it

Built to be checked, not merely believed.

A performance figure or tax result should never become more convincing than the evidence underneath it. VTR keeps the source, assumptions and missing pieces close enough to inspect.

01

It shows you the working

Every disposal opens up to show which buys it matched against. Every performance number stays tied to the imported fills and costs underneath it.

02

It tells you when it doesn't know

A missing cost basis, unresolved transfer, or gap in your history makes VTR stop and say so. You never get a confident number built on a hole in the data.

03

It separates results from costs

Trading result, execution fees, financing, and after-cost performance stay separate. You can see what you made and what Kraken charged you to make it.

04

It keeps ownership exact

Each beneficial owner gets a separate record and tax pool. Allocations conserve the original quantity exactly instead of rounding value away.

03 — Why only Kraken

One exchange, understood properly.

Tools that support forty exchanges support all of them shallowly — and the things they skip are exactly the things an active futures trader does. VTR does one venue all the way down, because that is where your money actually goes missing.

Futures are not an afterthought

Spot and futures arrive as one history. Your perps, your financing and your liquidations are all in the record — not dropped because they were awkward to import.

Holding costs are counted

Rollover financing on a leveraged position is real money. VTR keeps it, converts it, and shows it separately from what your executions cost — so you can see which one is hurting.

Fee tokens don't vanish

Pay a fee in crypto and you have made a disposal. VTR counts it as one and still deducts it as a cost of the trade. Most tools quietly do neither.

It asks what only you know

Kraken can see a deposit arrived. Whether it was your own wallet, a purchase elsewhere or a gift changes what you owe — so VTR asks you, instead of assuming.

04 — Access and security

Read the account. Never control it.

Read-only by design

VTR requests history access only. It cannot place orders, transfer assets or withdraw funds — the permission to do so is never requested.

Passkeys, not passwords

Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN. There is no reusable password to leak, reuse or phish.

Step-up for connections

Reaching sensitive Kraken connection details requires a fresh biometric check, not merely an open browser session.

Start with the history you already have

Connect Kraken. We'll take it from there.

Connect Kraken read-only and VTR gets to work: keeping score of how you trade and building your tax working from the same history. One monthly subscription, no transaction tiers.
